Phase 1 : Assess & Recommend
Assess current investments / in house monitoring capability against an enterprise industry model.
Identify key “areas / tiers” at risk
Recommend a possible solution to address each risk individually, in order to move towards an enterprise solution
Phase 2: Implement
This is the “Out of the Box” (OOTB) implementation where all core monitoring functionality is implemented
Phase 3: Automate
Automate as much as possible (Event generation and escalation, notifications – SMS / Email. Command script actions).
Phase 4: Visualise
Visualise by means of dashboards views that are relevant and applicable to all users within the organisation (Executive, Management, Support).
Phase 5: Optimise / Customise
Once the solution starts identifying bottlenecks and areas contributing to performance degradation, specialists will resolve these issues on an ongoing basis.
Here we also look at developing and implementing custom monitoring capabilities that are not part of the OOTM solution, as to enrich the capability to provide a true end to end monitoring solution.
